A gluten-free and refined sugar-free spin on one of my grandmother’s pantry-staple desserts. This recipe is so easy and seemingly magical since it requires such simple ingredients, none of which are butterscotch; However, they always impress with a chewy texture and flavor that lives up to their name.

A sweet and refreshing iced coffee to finish out the summer with. This beverage is reminiscent of the popular brown sugar shaken iced espresso that everyone loves. I make mine with homemade cold brew coffee, a coconut sugar-cinnamon simple syrup, and my favorite coconut milk, frothed of course.

Spelt Banana Blueberry Muffins
Banana bread is a staple in my family, and easy to adapt the ingredients for a healthy twist, just as long as you have ripe bananas. I use flour made from the ancient grain spelt, which has more fiber than regular wheat flour, and this paired with coconut sugar makes for a low GI sweet treat! Add antioxidant-rich blueberries and Ashwagandha powder for adrenal health, creating a balanced snack to nourish your body and mind.

This is hands down my favorite dessert and one of my favorite things to eat period. The creamy buttery brie, which is lightly sweetened with a coconut sugar crust, begs to be eaten with juicy fresh fruit and warm bread. It’s the perfect balance of flavors and textures in one bite. A wonderful addition to your next charcuterie board.
Teriyaki Style Grilled Chicken
I used coconut sugar and a little bit of honey as the sweetener for a sweet and savory marinade and sauce. The sauce creates a flavorful teriyaki style glaze that is sticky when applied to the chicken still on the grill. Serve with some rice and vegetables as a delicious dinner or make teriyaki chicken skewers and serve as an appetizer at your next event. Adult and kid approved!
