Cold Brew Coffee
Yield: 8 Cups / Level: Easy / Prep Time: 5 min / Steep Time: 22 Hr
Ingredients:
2 cups coarse ground coffee
8 cups filtered water
Method:
In a medium to large bowl, add your 2 cups of ground coffee.
Slowly pour 8 cups of filtered water over the grounds making sure they get completely hydrated.
Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and place in the refrigerator for 22 hours.
22 hours later, strain your coffee into another glass bowl or jar using a fine mesh strainer.
Discard or compost your spent coffee grains.
The strained coffee will still have some fine grounds that we want to remove by straining it again through a cheesecloth.
I poured my coffee back into the large glass bowl with the easy pour lip. You don’t need to do this if you are good at pouring coffee from a jar without making a mess.
Triple layer your cheesecloth and secure it to the top of a tall jar using a rubber band.
Slowly pour the coffee through the cheesecloth.
Now you have perfectly clear cold brew.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Use this in my Cinnamon Coconut Cold Brew Coffee recipe.
Enjoy!
